The service request form

When you send a service request, the details you enter are sent to Royal Mechanical: your name, email address, phone number if provided, ZIP code, property type, the system concerned, the type of request and your message. A request counts as sent only when the page confirms it; if sending fails, nothing is delivered and the page says so.

The website's server passes your request to EmailJS, an email delivery service that sends it to Royal Mechanical's office inbox on our behalf. Your browser sends it only to this website. The website itself does not keep a copy of your request in a database; EmailJS may keep a record of sent messages for a limited time under its privacy policy.

To stop automated spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a verification check that runs in your browser on the Contact page and is confirmed by our server. Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser for this purpose under its Turnstile privacy policy. To limit abuse, the server keeps a short-lived, anonymised count of recent requests from each connection; it is derived from the IP address but does not store it.

How request details are used

Details sent through the form are used only to review and respond to that request and to arrange any service asked for. They are not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

Hosting and technical logs

This website is hosted on Netlify. When you visit, Netlify processes standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site. Netlify handles this under its own privacy policy.

The website's own code keeps no record of visitors. If a request can't be delivered, it logs only the type of failure and a status code, so the problem can be fixed; your details and message are not written to these logs.

Cookies, analytics and third parties

This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and apart from the Cloudflare Turnstile check on the Contact page, does not load fonts, scripts or images from other companies; everything else is served from this site. It doesn't use cookies, local storage or similar browser storage, including for the opening animation, which simply plays when the homepage loads. Your choices

To ask about, correct or delete information you sent, say so in a new request through the form and include the email address you used before.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
